BEREA, Ohio– A worker was injured Sunday at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds.

The Berea Fire Department told FOX 8 News that a call came in at around 5:10pm regarding a malfunction on a ride.  A male worker had been injured.

He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. He is expected to be okay, according to the Cuyahoga County Fair, who released more information to FOX8, Sunday evening.

They said the incident is still under investigation, and that it was not the result of ride malfunction nor were any county fair attendees or riders in harm’s way.

“Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with this member of our fair family for a speedy recovery.”
