CLEVELAND, Ohio –A man has been arrested in connection with the homicide of a Cleveland woman.
The 53-year-old woman’s screams got the attention of her children and neighbors, but by the time they reached her, it was too late.
The Cleveland Division of Police said its preliminary investigation revealed the screams were heard coming from outside of her home in the 4000 block of East 57th Street around 3 a.m. Tuesday.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Aura Moralas and said she was found unresponsive on the back porch.
EMS and police responded and found the victim suffered trauma to the head and neck area.
Moralas was pronounced dead at the scene.
The homicide unit was called to investigate. Cleveland police said Hector Almazan, 45, was arrested in Missouri.
