CLEVELAND, Ohio — Firefighters with the Cleveland Division of Fire responded to a fire in an apartment building on Cedar Ave. early Monday morning.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 1:45 a.m. They forced their way into an apartment to try and save a 45-year-old woman.
According to Mike Norman, fire department spokesman, the woman was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she remains on life support. Her name was not immediately available.

Several people were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
Norman said the fire started with food on the stove.
