HURON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - The Erie County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double shooting that left a woman dead and sent a boy to the hospital.

Erie County Sheriff Paul Sigsworth said while deputies are still investigating Tuesday’s deadly shooting, it appears the incident happened between the two victims.

It happened inside a home on Snowy Egret Drive in Huron Township.

When deputies arrived, they found a woman dead and a boy with a gunshot wound to the head.

The identities and ages of the victims were not released. The sheriff's office confirmed the boy was a juvenile. He's in critical condition at a Cleveland hospital.

Deputies confirm to the Fox 8 I-Team that they have been called to the house several times in the past, including earlier this week, for domestic type issues.

The sheriff says they are working to notify relatives before releasing names of the victims.

Additional information will be released later today.
