WESTLAKE, Ohio– A woman is in the hospital after Westlake police say she crashed her SUV on St. Patrick’s Day.

Faith Gibbs, 46, of Westlake, lost control of her Chevrolet Equinox just before 11 p.m. Thursday on Westwood Road, police said. She hit trees, fences and street signs before striking a parked truck on Brantwood Drive.

The SUV rolled over and came to a rest on its roof. Westlake police said it was so badly damaged they had to use insurance papers to determine its make and model.

The Westlake Fire Department extricated Gibbs from the vehicle and took her to Fairview General Hospital.

She was cited for operating a vehicle under the influence and failure to control
