MEDINA, Ohio– A woman was convicted of hitting another woman in the face while waiting for her son to be dismissed from school.

A jury in Medina found Connie Edmiston guilty of assault.

She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, two years of probation and a $500 fine. She was also ordered to never have contact with the victim or her family.

The incident happened in the parking lot of Willetts Middle School on Hadcock Road, back in January.

Police said that Edmiston, 42, was upset that another parent had scolded her son for “taunting.” That’s when she got out of her car and hit the woman in the face.

A witness snapped a photo of the woman after the altercation.
