CLEVELAND — A woman whom police say was found dead in an east side field Thursday afternoon has been positively identified.

The Cuyahoga Medical Examiner’s Office says the victim is 45-year-old Christine Malone.

Police say a juvenile discovered her body at around 4:30 p.m. in the 9300 block of Bessemer Avenue.

According to police, she had suffered blunt force trauma to the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

Malone’s daughters on Thursday told Fox 8 News they reported their mother missing two days prior to her body being found.

“We just reported her missing a couple of days ago.  We’ve been looking ourselves, we got out here and looked,” said Dominique Malone.

“My mother, she has five granddaughters and she been helping take care of her disabled father. My mother, she was a nice person. She’d give you the shirt off her back. She didn’t deserve this,” Angelique Malone said.

Malone’s body was found about a mile from where 20-year-old Jazmine Trotter‘s body was discovered in an abandoned home on Sunday.

Both deaths are under investigation.
