Woman Ejected During Crash Dies (Graphic)

WAYNESBURG, Ohio — A woman was killed when she was ejected from her Jeep and the vehicle came to rest on top of her.

Marsha E. Lowe, 52, of Carrollton, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Stark County coroner’s office.

The accident happened Wednesday around 1:20 p.m on State Route 43 between Wiandt Street and Ridgeview Drive.

According to the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a GMC Safari traveled left of center and hit Lowe’s Jeep, causing it to overturn as it was forced off the road.

The driver of the Safari was taken to Aultman Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

A passenger in the Safari received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.

The driver’s identity was withheld from this report pending charges.

No one involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt, the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The crash remained under investigation at the time of this report.
