The FOX 8 I-Team learned Brandi Scampitilla, 24, faces several traffic charges, including driving under suspension, from an unrelated traffic stop in March of last year.

A hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. Monday in Judge Pinkey Carr's courtroom.

Scampitilla is now also facing felony counts of aggravated vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an accident stemming from a January hit-and-run crash. That case has been sent to the grand jury.

She is free on bond.

Cleveland police said 31-year-old Tina Lowe was crossing the street at Fulton Road and Clark Avenue on Jan. 19 when she was hit by a car. The driver left, but stopped at a nearby gas station and hid behind an SUV as people rushed to help Lowe, police said.

Lowe has several injuries and is recovering at home.
