The Cavaliers closed out the home schedule of the season with a 96-85 loss to the Washington Wizards. It was Fan Appreciation Night as the odds on favorite for NBA Rookie of the Year, Kyrie Irving, played just 10 minutes while being a bit under the weather.

The visitors turned a six-point deficit after one-quarter into a halftime lead in limiting the Cavs to just 18 points in the second quarter.

John Wall, the speedy point guard for Washington, led his team with 21 points and 13 assists while the Cavs, playing 12 guys, were led by D.J. Kennedy with 12 points. Antawn Jamison, playing perhaps his final game on the Quicken Loans Arena floor as a member of the Cavs, scored 10.

Both teams shot 44 percent from the field, while the Wizards won the rebounding battle, 50-42.

The Cavs look to finish out the season on a winning note in Chicago Thursday night.
