BALSAM LAKE, Wisconsin – A couple appeared in court Friday on several felony charges after police caught their 9-year-old driving them both home while they were intoxicated.
According to KMSP, Jason Roth and Amanda Eggert had both been drinking, allowing their 9-year-old to drive them home while their 11-month-old was also in the car.
Someone called 911 when they noticed the car was weaving through traffic.
Deputy Jeff Hahn told court officials that he was shocked to pull the car over and see a child was behind the wheel.
The kids are with relatives while the parents are still behind bars.
