CLEVELAND - The snow that arrived as promised overnight Friday and into Saturday is giving northeast Ohio residents their first true taste of winter this year.
The Ohio Department of Transportation reports that the hardest hit areas as of Saturday morning were I-90 east of Cleveland and the I-271 corridor. Crews were fully staffed from Friday afternoon on, with 80-90 trucks out on the roads.

A number of fender benders were reported along I-90 as well as one accident that closed I-71 north near I-90 mid-morning.
As always, the first blast of snow comes with the warning to stay alert, especially when driving. Due to lake effect snow patterns, the weather where drivers are headed to can be very different from where they are coming from.
And although the snow calls for extra caution on the roads, it always makes for some great pictures. Click here to head on over to our photo gallery and share your snow photos with us.
