From west to east, people in many parts of Northeast Ohio felt the effects of Friday's blast of winter weather.

The lake effect snow caused big problems on the highways and roads in our area on Friday.

The roads driving east were a little hectic at times as the snow swept across the area.

Motorists were driving well below the speed limit to be safe.

"Out in Madison we didn't have a whole lot but as I come further west it has gotten worse.  It is starting to get a little slick on the roads but it is Northeast Ohio so this is the type of weather that we get.  You either learn to drive in it or you stay home," said Suzanne Berkey, of Madison.

Even though motorists say they roads were slippery, snow plows were out in full force in Willoughby clearing the roads.

A Federal Express delivery guy said the snowy conditions put him behind schedule.

"Like three hours behind, so just trying to make the purple promise and get all the packages delivered today and not have anything delivered tomorrow," said Ross Pillante, of Mentor.
