CHARDON, Ohio- More than three years after the shooting at Chardon High School that took the lives of three students, community members are raising funds for a memorial.
Supporters of the Chardon Living Memorial Park hope to dedicate signs and benches to the victims, survivors and first responders, create a playground and refurbish trails for runners and hikers. The group recently launched a website to help generate funds for the project.

Daniel Parmertor, 16; Russell King Jr., 17 and Demetrius Hewlin, 16, were shot and killed in the high school cafeteria on Feb. 27, 2012. TJ Lane pleaded guilty to shooting and was sentenced to life in prison.
