AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — A Memorial Day service was hosted at Akron’s Glendale Cemetery, inside its Civil War Memorial Chapel.

The audience watched a flag-folding ceremony teaching the symbolism behind the American flag and the meaning behind the 13 folds completed in the ceremony. Watch that ceremony in the player above.

Attendees then heard the report of a rifle salute and — upon special permission — the ringing of the cemetery’s bell tower.
