Garage fire in Brunswick leaves residents displaced

BRUNSWICK, Ohio — Six people have been displaced after a fire broke out at their Brunswick home.

Just after 6:25 p.m. Friday crews from multiple departments were called to fight a garage fire at a Northfork Way home.

Officials say the damage from the fire was contained to the garage, however the home suffered some smoke damage.

The residents were home, discovered the fire and safely got out.

Their ferret died in the blaze.

The home’s six occupants have been displaced. Red Cross is assisting.

Medina County FIU will be investigating.
