CLEVELAND, Ohio — A woman who thought her boyfriend was stationed at an army base in North Carolina got not one but two huge surprises during Sunday’s Cavs vs. 76ers game at Quicken Loans Arena.
Marissa Fischer was brought onto the court with her boyfriend’s mother, Debbie, for the Cavs Santa Suit Race.
Cavs emcee Ahmaad Crump explained the rules, but instead of playing the game gave the two the contest prize anyway. Then he said there was another gift for Marissa.
She turned around, and there was her boyfriend Army Pfc. Zak Baumer. They hugged, and then he asked her a very special question while the song “All I Want for Christmas is You” played in the background.
