Snow causing accidents in NE Ohio including on I-77 and I-76

Accidents are being reported all over Northeast Ohio as the snow continues to fall.

ODOT tweeted that all lanes of I-77 south were closed at Grant Ave. due to a jackknifed tractor trailer. The area was reopened just before 2 a.m.

ODOT reported several crashes on I-76 including one eastbound, between SR 21 and Cleveland Massillon Road.

FOX 8's Elizabeth Noreika, reporting from Lake County, saw a jackknifed truck on I-90W near Vrooman Road.

On Wednesday evening, conditions were bad enough that ODOT reduced the speed limit to 50 mph on I-90 between SR 44 and SR 528.

Elizabeth also reported poor visibility and slippery roads on 44 N.

A winter storm warning and a winter weather advisory remain in effect until Thursday.
