Police say no one is being forced to evacuate, but if anyone chooses to, police will assist them.

At least 10 people evacuated Wednesday night.

Willoughby Hills Fire Department said officials are monitoring river levels every half hour, and expect conditions to worsen throughout the day Thursday as the weather warms up.

Flood warnings and watches are in effect for much of Northeast Ohio. For more on those alerts, click here.

There are also flooding concerns in Rocky River where the ice broke up earlier during the day Wednesday, causing emergency crews to take precautions.

The Rocky River Fire Chief says residents nearby have been warned and are prepared to leave at a moments notice if flooding becomes apparent.

At this time, ice slabs are jammed beneath the Detroit Road bridge all the way back through the Rocky River reservation.

The river will continue to be monitored as the weather continues to stay above freezing.
