MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – A local fast food restaurant is likely a total loss after a fire Tuesday night.

A FOX 8 viewer sent us a video of the Burger King on N. Ridge Road in Madison Township on fire.

Officials say when crews arrived just before 10 p.m., they found an active fire in the kitchen hood ductwork that had already spread to the building’s roof.

Crews then were forced to evacuate the building due to “evolving fire conditions” and the “lightweight roof construction,” said officials.

Three employees working at the time were able to make it out of the building safely.

The restaurant was scheduled to be open until midnight. Fire crews remained on the scene until 1:30 a.m.
