AURORA, Ohio– A Cleveland-area photographer known for his stunning pictures of abandoned places is back with more incredible images.
This time, Seph Lawless used a drone to capture video of the abandoned Geauga Lake amusement park in Aurora just days ago. He’s also photographed the park in the past for his book, “Bizarro-The World’s Most Hauntingly Beautiful Abandoned Theme Parks.”
“I’m licensed with the FAA as a hobbyist operator and it’s been a lot of fun using it to give people a different perspective on my work. I look forward to changing the perceptions of drone footage by trying to get as close as possible making the videos and images more intimate for the viewer,” Lawless told FOX 8 News.
Geauga Lake, known for coasters like the Big Dipper and Raging Wolf Bobs, was closed by Cedar Fair in 2007.
Lawless has previously shared his photos of an abandoned “Land of Oz” park, the lasting damage of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and a forgotten NASCAR track in North Carolina.
