CLEVELAND -- Nearly three weeks after a fire devastated the West Side Market, the building has reopened.

Vendors were forced out of their jobs while the market was being scrubbed and cleaned.

But, this weekend, they had a chance to put product back into their cases and get ready for the market's reopening at 7 a.m. Monday.

The fire on the morning of January 30 destroyed stands and left the inside of the market covered in soot. Vendors lost everything.

With the whole establishment sanitized, vendors and customers are eager for the reopening.

"I think we'll be very busy. I think Cleveland will come out and support the vendors, but I think they're also anxious to see how cleaned up and sparkling as it is," said Denise Kahwagi, of Cake Royale.

The West Side Market is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday. Then, it will resume its regular business hours.
