BRUNSWICK, Ohio — Two men and a woman were arrested in connection with a heroin and crack cocaine bust in Brunswick.

According to the Medina County Drug Task Force, an undercover operation took place on November 8 at a business on Center Road.

The task force said, as Brunswick police made the arrests, they discovered the suspects’ car was stolen from Bedford.

When they searched the car, they said more fentanyl was found, along with crack cocaine and marijuana. Drug paraphernalia and a .38 caliber handgun were also in the car, according to the drug task force.

“Opioids are believed to be responsible for 204 non-fatal overdoses and 28 deaths in Medina County this year. These are the only incidents being reported to law enforcement. The actual number of overdoses occurring may never be known. Addressing the flow of heroin, Fentanyl, Carfentanil and other deadly Opioids into Medina County is a primary concern for drug task force agents. In 2016, 46% of all criminal charges sought by drug task force agents have pertained to Opioid related investigations,” said Medina County Drug Task Force director Gary Hubbard.

The suspects were all taken to the Medina County Jail.
