Two-Vehicle Crash Kills Young Woman

WAKEMAN TOWNSHIP, OH — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that killed a young woman early Thursday morning.

According to the Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old Tiffin man was traveling westbound on U.S. 20 around 12:30 a.m. when he lost control on the ice and crossed the center line, striking a 2003 Chrysler Concorde.

One of the passengers of the Concorde, Caitlin Yager, 19, of Canfield, received fatal injuries and was transported to Fisher Titus Hospital. Officials say she was not wearing her seat belt.

The three other passengers in the Chrysler Concorde were transported for their injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, along with his passenger, were taken to Fisher Titus Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
