CLEVELAND, Ohio — What happens when two of Cleveland’s favorite flavors collide? The creators hope you’ll call it “delicious”.

Great Lakes Brewing Company and Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream have partnered on a limited holiday ice cream flavor.

It’s called “Christmas Ale Ginger Snap”.

It’s a mixture of Christmas Ale mixed with fresh organic ginger, a dash of Vietnamese cinnamon, local honey and homemade ginger snaps.

“Last year was the first year that we had this available for sale,” said Peter Mitchell, co-founder of Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream. “Both people who are really enthusiasts and passionate about Great Lakes Christmas Ale as well as people that are not particularly beer drinkers have found this a flavor that they really enjoy.”

“Christmas Ale Ginger Snap” will be available at Great Lakes Brewing Company as a dessert and at all Mitchell’s locations through the end of the year.

The companies have previously partnered on another ice cream flavor called Edmund Fitzgerald Porter Chocolate Chunk, which is currently available year-round at GLBC.
