SULLIVAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after hitting a horse-drawn buggy carrying seven people in Ashland County Sunday night.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, it happened at just after 7:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 224 near County Road 581.

Patrick A. Muscaro, 47, of West Salem, was driving a 2002 Ford Taurus east on U.S. Route 224 at the time. A 31-year-old Sullivan man was eastbound in a horse-drawn buggy along with his wife and five children.
