CLEVELAND (WJW) – Drivers on the Ohio Turnpike saw delays after a fatal crash in Cuyahoga County Thursday morning.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers responded to the crash on I-80 westbound, near W. 130th Street around 9:49 a.m.

Investigators say a commercial vehicle re-entered the roadway from the right shoulder when it was hit by another commercial vehicle.

The driver who was hit died from injuries in the crash. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

All westbound lanes at milepost 164 were closed for hours while crews cleared the scene. Two lanes later reopened, but drivers were experiencing delays.
