MENTOR, Ohio — A 10-year-old girl died and a woman and child are in critical condition after a crash that closed a portion of Interstate 90 in Mentor early Friday.
According to a press release, it happened at 12:26 a.m. on Interstate 90 west between state Route 306 and state Route 615.
A 2008 Chevrolet driven by a 37-year-old female was hit by a tractor-trailer. The impact pushed the Chevrolet down an embankment.
The woman had a 6-year-old and a 10-year-old with her at the time. The 10-year-old died from her injuries. The 37-year-old and the 6-year-old are in critical condition.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
Interstate 90 west was closed for around four hours.
The crash is still under investigation.
