MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio– Someone stole hundreds of toys meant for kids in need this Easter.

Lake County realtor, Asa Cox, and other volunteers have been collecting toys for the past six years through Cox’s organization, Asa’s Angels.

At Christmas, she collected more than 6,000 gifts as part of her annual toy drive.

She had plenty left over, which she was saving to use in Easter baskets.

But, this week, she opened the storage area at her Madison Township real estate office and discovered that eight bins of toys had been stolen.

Cox said the toys could have been taken any time between Dec. 23 and two days ago.

She still has a goal to fill a thousand Easter baskets.
