Top Cleveland school official found guilty of menacing, disorderly conduct

EUCLID, Ohio — The athletic commissioner for Cleveland Public Schools has been found guilty in the assault of a former teacher and coach.

Leonard Jackson was arrested after being accused of physically confronting Vito Federici at a basketball game at Euclid High School in March. Investigators say it was caught on video.

On Thursday, Jackson was found guilty of menacing and disorderly conduct. His sentencing is set for 9 a.m. July 13.

Thursday afternoon, a Cleveland Metropolitan School District spokesperson said Jackson remains on administrative leave until his issues are fully resolved in July.
