WOOSTER, Ohio — Due to local preparation and response efforts due to Hurricane Sandy, the Vice President Joe Biden’s events scheduled for tomorrow, Oct. 30, in Wooster and Gambier, Ohio, and in Scranton, Pa., on Thursday, Nov. 1 have been canceled.

This change in schedule “is being taken out of an abundance of caution to ensure that all local law enforcement and emergency management resources can stay focused on ensuring the safety of people who might be impacted by the storm,” according to a release from the Obama-Biden campaign.

Biden was to speak at the The College of Wooster Timken Gymnasium, located on Beall Avenue, Tuesday.
