(WJW) — Thousands are still without power on Monday after high winds and strong storms ripped through much of Ohio on Saturday.

FirstEnergy reported nearly 35,000 outages statewide as of Sunday afternoon. As of Monday morning, about 10,000 were still in the dark.

AEP reported more than 7,000 outages throughout the state and as of Monday, nearly 2,000 customers were still dealing with outages.

For many of these customers, it could be another day or so before their power is restored.

According to First Energy, many estimated restoration times are 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Others are not until 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

First Energy is reporting the most outages in Trumbull County. Other counties dealing with a higher number of outages include Mahoning, Summit, and Portage.
