CLEVELAND (WJW) — Thousands were without power after high winds roared through the state Saturday. Slowly over the afternoon into the evening many residents began seeing their electricity restored.

A high wind warning was issued in Lake and Northern Ashtabula County that was in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday.

Ashland, Ashtabula, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Holmes, Huron, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Ottawa, Portage, Richland, Sandusky, Stark, Summit, Trumbull and Wayne counties were under a wind advisory through 1 p.m. Saturday.
