CLEVELAND, Ohio-- With tears streaming down her face, Sally Davis talked about Tuesday night's drive-by shooting, when she saw her 9-year-old daughter and her 3-year-old granddaughter shot.

"It makes no sense," Davis said, as she stood by her west side home. "My granddaughter, she is just 3, was being held by her mother on the porch when it happened. They wonder why Grandma doesn't want them outside. This is why."

"They just shot her in cold blood and the bullet went in the house," Davis continued. "Who does something like that? She was on the porch and shot in the forehead."

She said her daughter, who is 9 years old, was inside the Dudley Avenue home, and got shot in the back.

The two young girls remain hospitalized.

Police are investigating and said two suspects allegedly involved in a robbery went to the house moments before the shooting.

A car then pulled up and someone in the back seat fired several shots, reports stated.

Family members said they want the violence to stop.

"I think Mayor Jackson needs to do something about the gun violence," said Walter Sulliban, a relative of the victims. "Too many innocent kids dying."
