WESTLAKE, Ohio -- A local summer camp for children got some very special visitors Thursday.

The Thera-Pits dog program stopped by the Behavioral Intervention Institute in Westlake to visit children with Autism.

Experts say therapy dogs are a great way for kids with Autism to learn social skills, because they often interact with animals better than they do with people.

Many of the pit bulls in the program are rescues that have undergone training to become therapy dogs.
