SAN MARCOS, Texas – She’s just a girl living in a Barbie world.
Tara Monroe, a Texas State University student, has found a new way to get to class since getting a DWI earlier this year.
According to MySA.com, she refused a breathalyzer test at a concert, which earned her a suspended license. Her father then took her car away.
“Riding a bike around campus sucks,” she said. “Like really sucks.”
After some time, she found her new ride on Craigslist. It only cost $60.
“Most people don’t find the things me and my friends do very funny, just immature, so I didn’t expect to get this big of a reaction,” she said. “People who don’t know me are shocked but my friends weren’t even surprised because I do stuff like this all the time.”
She said she is enjoying the fifteen minutes of fame on campus too.
“It goes pretty fast when it’s just me, so I usually make them (her friends) walk behind me like parents taking their kid out to play,” she quipped. “I’m just happy everyone thinks this is so hilarious.”
