Terminally ill teen lands Sony record deal

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida- A Florida teenager who is battling a  life-threatening illness, is using his musical talent to inspire others.

19-year-old Jeff Mortimer was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

Mortimer told WPBF News he uses his musical talent to write and produce uplifting music for other sick kids.

His group is called, “LDL 365,” which stands for ‘living the life 365 days a year.’

Mortimer said, “We struggle 365 days of the year, so why not live the life as long while we’re struggling 365.”

Last month, he signed a record deal with Sony.
