STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) – Authorities have arrested the juvenile accused of leaving a Multi-County Juvenile Attention System over the weekend.

Deputies were called to 815 Faircrest Street SW in Canton at around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a 17-year-old boy who left the facility, according to a release from the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.

Stark County deputies arrested the 17-year-old on Monday at around 8 a.m. without incident. He was charged with escape and assault.

MCJAS is not a Stark County Sheriff’s Office facility and provides its own independent security and supervision for its residents and staff.
