HAUSER, Idaho- Authorities say a Washington state man has been struck and killed by a bus inside a zombie attraction at an Idaho corn maze.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Jeremy T. McSpadden Jr., of Spokane Valley, Washington, was a role player in the “Zombie Slayer Paintball Bus” at the Incredible Corn Maze in Hauser on Friday night.

According to the corn maze website, the attraction is new this season. For $15, customers ride the bus and shoot paint balls at the zombies as the vehicle creeps through the corn maze.

It’s not clear why the bus hit McSpadden. He died at the scene.

Sgt. Ward Crawford says the bus was going forward, and neither speed nor alcohol was a factor.

Hauser is in northern Idaho near the Washington border.
