A British teenager is helping spread holiday cheer after collecting hundreds of coupons to help buy food for the less fortunate, according to The Telegraph.

Jordon Cox, 16, gathered 470 supermarket coupons and bought $1,000 worth of groceries for around $6, and then donated them to a charity that gives the food to disadvantaged families.

The teen said he wanted to help families in need eat this holiday season.

Cox’s grocery store checkout took an hour.

The teen started collecting coupons last year after his parents split up, and his mother struggled to buy groceries.
