PARMA, Ohio (WJW) — Police arrested suspects they say bailed from a stolen car Saturday evening.
Part of the incident happened north of Rockside Road near Patriots Way, according to a Facebook post from the Independence Police Department, but several area departments pooled resources in the arrest of the suspects.
Parma police confirmed to FOX 8 that a stolen Dodge Durango Hellcat, which they believe is connected to a “large number of dealership break-ins, thefts, and pursuits,” was seen on State Road around 8 p.m. After the driver of the vehicle did not pull over for a traffic stop, Stop Sticks were laid out by another officer and the car was discovered on the side of I-480 East near exit 20B due to a flat tire.
Upon approaching the vehicle, three men fled police going into the nearby woods.
Police said one suspect was found there, but two others were discovered being driven away in a Ford Crown Victoria and a traffic stop took place. The driver of the Ford and the other three men, all from Cleveland, were taken into custody.
As police believe the men could be involved in multiple crimes, no charges have been filed yet and identities are not released.
