AKRON, Ohio — More than six-months after an M16 was stolen from an Akron Police officer’s car, authorities say that the second suspect wanted in connection to the crime has surrendered.
Dhani M. Conrad, 25, of Akron, was charged with felony theft of a firearm and tampering with evidence, for his role in the October 21, 2011 theft, according to the Akron Police website.
Conrad and his co-conspirator, Marcus Reed, also of Akron, admitted to authorities that they stole an M-16 and a radar gun from an Akron Police Officer’s personal car.
Reed was charged in the crime back in March.
The men later threw the stolen items into the Cuyahoga River, according to the Akron Police website.
