CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — A suspect was taken into custody over the weekend in Cuyahoga Falls and charged with numerous drug related offenses after he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel while at a busy intersection.
According to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department’s Facebook page, Michael D. Dandridge, 22, of Cuyahoga Falls, was arrested on Saturday evening at 9:27 p.m. at the intersection of Britain Road and Howe Avenue
According to police, officers and members of the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department responded to a man who was unconscious behind the wheel of a 2012 Ford Explorer.
The Fire Department broke the passenger side window to gain entry to the vehicle and Dandridge was awakened. He was examined by fire department paramedics and, according to police, it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
A search of Dandridge’s car turned up five baggies of a crystalline powder suspected to be heroin.
Dandridge was charged with felony counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, illegal manufacturing of drugs and possession of drugs and criminal tools.
He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of possessing drug paraphernalia and OVI.
