CLEVELAND--  A neighbor’s security camera caught two thieves riding on scooters they just stole from a home on Cleveland's west side.

On Tuesday, the suspects took the scooters and a TV from a house on Crossburn Avenue .

“It was early in the morning and they came and went through our vehicle. Then went to the garage and took the scooters,” Tyler Smith said.

But Smith was really concerned when the suspects returned to the home a short time later, opened the window where his three girls were sleeping and took a TV.

“They were in that room sleeping,” Smith said.  Two of the girls heard the window open and saw the TV being taken. They started screaming and ran to tell their parents.

“I woke up to the girls screaming and crying, and that should not happen,” Smith said. “They should be safe in their bedrooms.”

The suspects also took a third scooter. All three were the girls Christmas presents.

A report was filed with Cleveland police.

“Please bring my scooter back, please,” said 3-year-old Maddy Smith.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Cleveland police.
