AKRON, Ohio– A Summit County Sheriff’s deputy is accused of stealing more than $40,000 from a senior citizen.

Detectives arrested Teresa Hill, 42, for theft from elderly on Monday. She’s been a deputy for 15 years.

The Summit County Adult Protective Services contacted the sheriff’s office about the alleged theft in March. Authorities started an investigation and found the crimes began in January 2015.
