Strongsville Teachers Vote to Ratify Contract

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — Members of the Strongsville Education Association have voted to ratify a new contract.

Teachers could return to school as early as Tuesday, according to officials.

The SEA and Strongsville Board of Education reached a tentative agreement on a contract Friday night. The SEA met at Strongsville High School for the ratification vote Saturday.

Nearly 400 union members have been on strike since March 4 as the sides differed on salaries, working conditions and health care.

Students have been attending class with substitutes throughout the strike.
