STREETSBORO, Ohio-- The Streetsboro High School band director and assistant band director were placed on leave after allegations of hazing surfaced.

Streetsboro City School District Superintendent Michael Daulbaugh said they have been relieved of their duties and placed on paid administrative leave, pending an investigation.

"After the recent band camp held at Camp Muskingum, I received allegations that some band members may have been hazed, demeaned, and belittled during camp activities in direct violation of established Streetsboro City School Board policies that prohibit hazing and bullying," Daulbaugh said in a statement on Friday.

He added the school board has a clear policy on hazing and bullying, which are not tolerated.
