Stow K-9 Officer Colt passes away after battle with Leukemia

STOW, Ohio — Stow Police Department K-9 Colt has passed away after complications with Leukemia.

According to a post on Stow Police Department’s Facebook page, Colt was born in the Czech Republic in 2008 and came to the United States in 2010.

He trained with Sgt. Steve Miller for six weeks and was then deployed by the city.

He tracked burglary and robbery suspects and found narcotics in vehicles and buildings.

In all, Colt logged over 1,000 hours of training and over 400 deployments for Stow.
