Stolen van used to crash through longtime business in ATM theft

CLEVELAND-- Cleveland police are investigating after an ATM was stolen from Danzey's Discount convenience store early Friday.

The store is located near East 79th Street and Woodland Avenue.

A stolen van was used to crash through the front of the store before the ATM was taken.

Mack Danzey said he has owned the store for 17 years. The damage was so bad, he said he couldn't get inside.

"I feel really hurt and bad about the situation because my existence is really to help the community and the people that's in the community. And when something like this happens, it gets to the point where you can't serve them."

Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland police.
