CLEVELAND – He’s back!

After a makeover spring break, Steggie, the iconic dinosaur that has stood guard at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History for nearly 50 years, is back at the museum.

Steggie arrived back Friday morning, refreshed and ready to spend the next 50 years welcoming museum visitors. Steggie left the museum back in March and while he was gone, he underwent a complete refurbishment, including a brand-new paint scheme. His new colors of brick-red, light coral and cream are the result  of new research that reveals that dinosaurs were actually very colorful creatures.

Steggie, who is 18 feet long, 10 feet high and weighs in at a svelte 1/2 ton, arrived back at the museum on his own flatbed truck. Lucky dino!
